Frequently Asked Questions

When do you make (garlic parmesan, raisin cinnamon etc.) bread?

Please visit our bread schedule page for featured breads of the day.

Do you slice your bread?

We can slice most of our breads after they have fully cooled (typically after 12:30pm), at the Fergus Falls store. We do not slice baguette, french, or chocolate chip ciabatta.

Do you make buns/donuts/caramel rolls/decorated cakes/cupcakes/?

At Falls Baking Company, bread is our main priority. We do not make buns, donuts, caramel rolls, decorated cakes, or cupcakes. Please see our baked goods page for the products we do offer.

Do you make any gluten free bread?

We do not make any gluten free bread. We do make wheat-free monster cookies, granola, granola bars, and chocolate torte. While there is no flour in these recipes, we are not a flourless facility and recommend gluten-sensitive people use their own discretion when deciding if to enjoy our products.

I own a restaurant/store and am interested in using/selling your bread. Can I get more information?

Yes! Here is a link to our wholesale/shipping policy.

I am planning an event and would like to serve your products. Do you take large orders?

We welcome large orders when we can accommodate them. For best results, call us with your order as soon as possible, at least 3 days before you’d like to pick it up, preferably a week or more in advance.

Do you ship your bread and baked goods?

We ship our bread and baked goods to co-ops, food stores, and restaurants in the region. Shipping to a home or business may be possible depending on season and product availability. A minimum order may apply. Please call for more information.

How early do I need to get there to get the bread I want?

Demand for and availability of our products depends on season, day of the week, and countless other factors. The best way to get everything you’d like is to place an order by calling our store or sending us a Facebook message.

Why don’t you make more bread?

The bread at Falls Baking Company is made the old and slow way. The doughs are crafted by bakers, not machines, and each loaf is shaped and packaged by hand. In order to maintain the integrity of our products, we aim for quality over quantity.

We are a small staff operating out of a small facility. To ensure you get the breads or baked goods you want, we recommend you place an order by calling our store or sending us a Facebook message.
